MODERATOR

Nina Stepanov, Principal, Acceleprise  Nina Stepanov is a Principal at Acceleprise, a top-ranked B2B SaaS accelerator and fund with offices in San Francisco, New York and Toronto.

At Acceleprise, Nina focuses primarily on running their accelerator in NYC. The program launched under her and founding Partner, Mike Cardamone in 2018, after the ongoing success of the flagship program in San Francisco. In 2019, she led the launch of Acceleprise Toronto, the 3rd official program and first international Acceleprise accelerator.

Before joining Acceleprise, Nina was an Associate at Techstars NYC and prior to her career in venture capital, she spent time in marketing roles at HubSpot and Intuit, as well as early stage technology companies, including Embedly, a Y Combinator startup acquired by Medium in 2016 and ViewPoint, a govtech startup acquired by OpenGov in 2019.

PANELISTS

Alex Siegman, Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Science & ML, Dow Jones – Alex Siegman is the Senior Technical Program Manager of Data Science & ML at Dow Jones, where he’s focused on identifying and prioritizing business opportunities where Machine Learning (ML) might prove effective across the organization.

As an experienced leader in the AI/ML space, Alex is specifically responsible for leading the design, development and deployment of ML projects at Dow Jones, including standardized ML modeling pipeline, automation initiatives ini the newsroom and customer-facing chatbot experiences.

Alex is also an adjunct professor at NYU, where he teaches ‘Projects in Programming’ and ‘Dealing with Data’. Previously he was a Technical Audience Strategist at The Wall Street Journal, where he served as a critical link between WSJ’s technology, innovation initiatives and the WSJ newsroom.

Mina Salib, Labs Manager, WeWork – Mina Salib is Labs Manager, at WeWork Labs, WeWork’s global innovation platform powering the next generation of industry transformation by helping startups and corporations create the future.

Prior to joining WeWork, Mina was program director at the NYU Tandon Future Labs, a series of incubators and accelerators in NYC. With a unique focus on deep technology companies, Mina has built up capacity around supporting and investing in companies who sell services to both enterprises and SMB’s. Through curated resources, tailored introductions & strategic guidance, Mina has supported over 100 startups by helping them navigate various business challenges including fundraising, business development, business model optimization, hiring and more

Mina is also the founder & host of AI in the Wild, a podcast focused on helping professionals across industries apply AI in their organizations. When he’s not working with startups, Mina enjoys spending time with family and friends or traveling to countries on his travel list.

Liz O’Sullivan, Co-Founder & VP of Commercial, Arthur AI– Liz O’Sullivan is Co-Founder and Vice President of Commercial Operations at an AI explainability and bias monitoring startup called Arthur AI. She is also the Technology Director and Surveillance Technology Oversight Project.

Liz has been featured in articles on ethical AI in the NY Times, The Intercept, and The Register, and has written about AI for the ACLU and The Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. She has spent 10 years in tech, mainly in the AI space, most recently as the head of image annotations for computer vision startup, Clarifai. She has held various leadership roles in NYC startups, ranging from Customer Delivery and Support to Sales and Solutions Architecture. Her passion for ethics springs from her degree in Philosophy from UNC Chapel Hill.
