Looking Toward Theranos’ Rocky Future
The world’s youngest self-made female billionaire, Elizabeth Holmes and her diagnostics firm Theranos have come under scrutiny lately. In a setback, the FDA told Holmes in September 2015 that she was using an unapproved blood collection device. Theranos subsequently stated it was voluntarily suspending the use of its “nanotainer,” until it gets clearance. Meanwhile, it is relying on conventional methods to draw blood.
